Magnetic Sleep System
Lack of sleep is a common phenomenon throughout the United States. Many research studies have been devoted to discovering how Americans can sleep better. According to the US Department of Health and Human Services, as many as one out of three Americans experience occasional difficulties with sleeping each year.
In 2002, the National Sleep Foundation reported that 37% of adults stated that at least a few days each month they are so sleepy during the day that it interferes with their activities. And, according to that same foundation, one out of 20 adults has been diagnosed with insomnia, which is an inability to fall asleep, to remain asleep or to obtain sleep for an adequate length of time.
Seriously sleepy
Although some may think this is a trivial condition, those who suffer from lack of sleep will tell you otherwise. Sleepiness can make you more prone to accidents, injury and car crashes. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that fatigue and dozing off while behind the wheel contribute to 100,000 accidents a year, causing 71,000 injuries and 1,500 deaths each year in the US alone. It has been proven that those who suffer from sleepless nights are more apt to miss work and to suffer from illness.
This condition is damaging in more ways than one. Not only is it a danger to our health, it is also a problem financially. In a study done by Melissa K. Stoller, it was estimated that the total annual cost of insomnia in the United States is $100 billion.
